Something’s happening after school.. Tell all your friends it’s CHIRPYS’ AFTER SCHOOL CLUB!!! 

With our Happy Hatchlings  and Chirpy Chicks  thriving we want to bring some of the award winning magic our team can conjure up to children’s after school experience. Chirpys’ After School Club  won’t just be homework in a small classroom environment with a few board games to while away the hours. With the use of Greyabbey Village Hall the big space means BIG FUN allowing us to plan engaging themed activities with pool/snooker, console gaming, table tennis, foosball, air-hockey, alongside arts and crafts and subject focused event activities such as Space Week, Shark Week, Comic Week, Transport Week etc.

These sports and themed activities will have a further overlay of educational highlights in the form of science experiments (something our pre-schoolers love), robotics  , software coding events, remote control vehicles , nature walks , and special educational visitors such as animal experts , astronomy professionals  and more. While the childcare aspect of after school can be vital for families, children should want to come, have fun and leave enriched by the experience.

Before formally opening our After School Club we need to know we have enough interested families to cover costs such as staffing, equipment, and supporting the Village Hall. We are a not-for-profit enterprise so every penny we make goes into ensuring our service is the best it can be for the children in our care, it’s always all about the kids. 

At the link below is our ‘Expression of Interest Form’ to give us an idea of the numbers of children and days required by families wanting to come and join the fun. Don’t delay to send in your form as places are limited and it will allow us to formally launch the service as soon as possible so families can make arrangements to hopefully join us in September.
